Cats with ballet feet

Hello!

Haven’t posted a blog in yeaarrsss, eeeekkkk :S

oh, well, just thought I’d write some stuff about the craziness that is my life :)

Crazy stuff happens all the time in my world :)

Such as Sparkey.

Sparkey is a black cat who belongs to one of my best friends, Katie. He is a very horny cat who terrorizes the other cat in the house because he is always trying to rape her. He is very little, has half a tail, and his feet stick outwards so that he walks like a penguin.

The other week, Katie and I were curled up on her sofa, watching telly, about two in the morning. You know that feeling you get to, where you can’t really keep your eyes open? Well, yeah, I was drifting off.

Then Sparkey came in. He had something brown and furry in his mouth, and he dropped it on the floor in front of us. It was a mouse. Normally, cats kill mice and bring them in and leave them for you as presents.

However, this mouse was still alive, and it’s tail was hanging off by a thread. It ran away desperately, and Sparkey continued to chase it, batting it with his black paws. He caught it several times, but the mouse kept getting away.

Katie and I sort of jumped frantically into action, and Katie grabbed Sparkey (who had the poor mouse hanging out of his mouth, still alive) while I shut all the doors so that we didn’t loose the mouse in anywhere other than the living room if it were to break free again.

“Sparkieeeee, let gooo” Katie tried to gently pull the mouse out of Sparkey’s mouth, but he was having none of it and dug his teeth is further.

The mouse didn’t make a sound, but it’s eyes bulged with pain and terror.

I went into the kitchen, and grabbed a large Gallo wine glass to put the mouse in.

When I went back in, Katie was on her hands and knees, trying to beat Sparkey at grabbing the mouse.

I scooped Sparkey up into my arms (which he wasn’t pleased about) and held him still while Katie put the mouse into the wine glass, praying that it wouldn’t bite her.

Then we took a picture of the little mouse (poor thing, it’s tail was all shredded from Sparkey’s teeth =/) and put him outside on the grass where Sparkey probably found him.

Sadly, I don’t think it would have survived the night.

ANYWAYS, beware the cats with the ballet feet XD they are troublesome XD

I’m post something elsee sooooonn :)

The Sixth Sense….

Do we all slightly have a sixth sense? Or is it just me…

I always have really scary phsycic moments. You probably think this is weird, or abnormal, which it probably is, but I can assure you, these experiences I am about to tell you are completely true.

Me and Chloe, one of my best friends, were walking down Church street, a street which leads off to the high street in Boston Spa, the village where I live at the moment. The grey clouds were swirling in the sky, and the whole world seemed grim and dull, although we were fairly happy chatting and having a laugh at each other like we always do. Suddenly, I stopped, turned to Chloe, feeling my eyes widen and I remember saying in a completely monotoned voice “Lightning’s going to strike in a  second.”

And sure enough, right after I’d said that, the electric lightning bolt lit up the sky and pierced through the clouds in a terrifying explosion.

Chloe’s eyes widened in fright and her mouth went into an “O” of shock as she breathed “Woah. Scary.”

But then, there’s the emotional phsycic moments I’m sure every single person on earth feels.

Like when somebody had to tell me something over msn. I hadn’t a clue what it was. They didn’t say anything particually upsetting before hand. I’ll remind you, it was msn, I could not see their facial expression or tone of voice. But still, a few minutes before the news was broken, I began to cry, and I felt this over-whelming feeling of despair and loss amounst me. It was like I KNEW. Still, that’s a sixth sense for you. This was last week.

ANYWAY, do you have any stories or opinions about the sixth sense? Email me at lynx_lass_forever@hotmail.com or something cos I do love to hear spooky stories like this :D

thanks a lot :)

Moments of serenity…

Although my mind is totally random and if somebody looked inside it (somehow - I’m not a scientist or a phsycologist or a clairvoyant so I couldn’t really tell you how to do it lol) it would probably be quite a crazy, psychedelic world (if you count the insides of people’s minds to be worlds), I DO have very common moments of pure peace and stillness…and I love them :)

Last night, feeling off-colour, I got into bed and lay there for ages, my mind seeming to thrash about in confusion (for reasons I would rather not go into on an internet page haha), you know, it was that feeling where you’ve got a lot on your mind and you can’t sleep basically, you know, that stupid, selfish feeling everybody gets from time to time where it feels like you’re the only troubled person on this planet (this is why I always feel guilty after I have this emotion).

I looked up into the night sky as I sleep with my blinds open - no idea why, really. I just feel safe that way…you can look up at the stars and the moon and the outside world, and it’s a magical feeling at how insignificant you are, but what an amazing world you actually live in. ANYWAY, I was staring up at the sky, then I heard this owl’s hunting cry (he lives in a big tree near my house) and it made me smile. It reminded me, that although life can seem pretty shite at times, we just have to get on with it, like the owl does - I’m sure he doesn’t just give up and not bother going hunting when he feels a bit crap (yes, I’m aware he is only an owl and not a human or whatever and that it is part of his life cycle - but yeaahh), life moves on and all we have to do is adapt to our situtation and just carry on.

Also, some bats flew outside my window as usual and it was very cute ^^

Then that magical moment of serenity came upon me, and I stared up at the stars (I could only see about three last night, like, but still) and I felt at peace, and I at last could do what I do best, and I could dream.

Then I felt ill and had to go vomit. eeeeee, that’s life.

Thankfully, I feel great now.

Speak soon :D

Swine Flu

Hahaha, trust my first post to be about an illness >< still, you know :).

Is it really as bad as the government and the media are making out?

I don’t think so for one….true, yes, there have been deaths, but every year, are there not at least a couple of hundred deaths in the UK of NORMAL flu, and none of us really panic about it. So what’s the difference, really?

Yeahh, it’s a bit scary, but not quite AS scary as people are making out. I was listening to Jeremy Vine the other day (cos I’m cool - yeaaahhhh XD) and this woman rang in and said something about her family coming down with it fairly badly, and that they were in quarantine, her daughter could barely walk, the whites in her eyes were pinkish and she had all the other terrible symptoms of flu. But she also said that it wasn’t HALF as bad as people were making it out to be.

I know a couple of people down with swine flu (found out this guy who I know has it today apparently - poor guy =/) but none of them are particually close friends or anything…more aqquaintances really, so I haven’t really spoken to them properly about their symptoms or any information I would really like to know (cos I find this whole pandemic thing rather interesting - I know I shouldn’t be so nosy but I’m curious and I’d like to be able to have a proper opinion on this as I do with most things ^^).

However, I wish them all a speedy recovery and hope that they aren’t feeling TOO awful with it :) (though it’s probably inevitable they’ll feel like shite for a bit..)

Choww :)
